Privacy Policy
This page explains what DAFK collects, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices available to users of DAFK AI Translator and related services.

1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
Account information. When you create or manage an account, we may collect your email address, username, country or nationality information, and encrypted or hashed authentication credentials.
Reference voice data. If you choose to use voice-based translation features, you may record a reference voice sample. Your reference voice is primarily stored locally on your device. When you start a live session that requires temporary server-side processing, a temporary session copy may be sent to our servers and is deleted when the session ends.
Live audio and meeting audio. We capture microphone audio for your own voice translation and audio from a selected app or source for meeting translation. If you choose a browser as the capture source, audio from the entire browser app may be included, including other tabs or media.
Translation output. We process speech-to-text output, translation output, and text-to-speech output generated for your session.
Support and communication data. If you contact us, we may collect your email address, message contents, screenshots, files, and any details you send us.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to create and manage accounts, authenticate users, and keep the service secure.
We also use information to provide live voice translation, meeting translation, generated voice output, customer support, service reliability, safety, performance, legal compliance, and enforcement of our terms.
3. How Audio and Voice Data Is Handled
Our service is designed for live use.
Live audio is processed on DAFK servers using DAFK AI models. We do not store live transcripts as part of the normal translation flow.
Your reference voice is stored locally on your device unless and until you start a session that requires temporary server-side processing. Temporary session reference voice data used for an active session is deleted when the connection or session closes.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information.
We may share information with service providers that help us operate the service, including hosting, infrastructure, email, security, or support providers.
We may also share information if required by law, legal process, or valid government request, to protect the rights and safety of DAFK, users, or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset sale.
We do not use third-party AI providers for the core voice translation processing described here unless we clearly disclose that change.
5. Data Retention
Different categories of information are retained for different periods.
Account information is retained while your account is active and as needed to provide the service or comply with legal obligations.
Reference voice stored on your device remains there until you delete, replace, or remove it through the app or by removing the app.
Temporary session reference voice is deleted when the session ends. Live transcripts are streamed for the active experience and not stored as part of the normal flow. Support communications are retained as needed to respond to your request and maintain support records.
6. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or request information about your personal data.
You can currently delete your account from within the app, replace or remove your saved reference voice from the app, and contact us for privacy-related assistance.

7. Account Deletion
You can initiate account deletion from within the app.
When your account is deleted, we will delete your account information and associated personal data unless we are required or permitted by law to retain certain information.
If deletion is not immediate, we will inform you during the deletion flow or upon request.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International Data Transfers
If you use the service from outside the country where our systems are operated, your information may be transferred to and processed in other countries.
By using the service, you understand that your information may be processed in jurisdictions with data protection laws that differ from those in your location.
10. Meeting and Browser Capture Responsibilities
You are responsible for complying with applicable laws when using the service, including laws that require notice, consent, or both before capturing, processing, or translating audio from other people.
If you use meeting or browser capture features, you are responsible for notifying participants where required by law.
11. Children’s Privacy
The service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date above.
